Recientemente rooteado mi Huawei GL07S y me cambié a un operador que permite explícitamente el tethering (inserté la nueva tarjeta SIM en el GL07S).

Cuando voy a Settings > Wireless&Networks > Tethering&Pocket WiFi Me aparece esta pantalla:

"Pocket WiFi" es un término utilizado por mi anterior operador para describir el tethering, sospecho que lo han modificado para que funcione sólo en su red. No puedo usar CyanogenMod/similar ya que no soportan el GL07S, que es un teléfono raro.

Cuando pulso "USB tethering", el círculo blanco se vuelve verde con una marca, y Pocket WiFi active or Tethering aparece en la barra de notificaciones, pero el Ubuntu conectado no ve ninguna conexión:

Por otra parte, cuando pulso "Pocket WiFi", el elemento se vuelve gris, la leyenda se convierte en Turning Wi-Fi on… y se queda así para siempre:

Mientras tanto, adb logcat sigue mostrando cosas como para siempre ( registro más largo ):

Para recuperar su estado gris, la única solución es reiniciar el teléfono.

[ClockworkMod][8]

ClockworkMod es la única aplicación de tethering que funciona de forma fiable (a través de USB). Sin embargo, no es gratuita, así que me gustaría hacerla funcionar con la solución incorporada o con la de código abierto Barnacle.

EasyTether

Ha funcionado la primera vez que lo probé. Desde entonces, ya no se puede utilizar, siempre dice cannot claim USB interface: Device or resource busy .

FoxFi

Cuando empujo Activate WiFi Hotspot dice WiFi Hotspot Ready Puedo conectarme a la red WiFi desde Ubuntu, pero desafortunadamente todas las peticiones HTTP y HTTPS fallan:

¿Qué está fallando?
¿Cómo puedo usar Internet en mi Ubuntu usando la conexión de datos LTE de mi teléfono? (preferiblemente sin tener que instalar un agente del lado del ordenador)
